Director – Institutional Client Engagement

 

Role Overview

HSBC is seeking an experienced Director to join the Institutional Client Engagement team based in London to strengthen how we capture, analyse and act on institutional client engagement. You’ll enhance our CRM and dashboards, measure event impact, and use data, automation and AI to improve efficiencies and commercial outcomes across the global franchise.

 

Role responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and continuously enhance a CRM framework for corporate access, ensuring accurate capture of client interactions and event participation across the global investor access franchise.
  • Design and build intuitive dashboards to track client activity at events, highlight engagement trends and provide actionable insight to sales, corporate access and senior management.
  • Build, track and refine data for all events, ensuring delivery against defined milestones and KPIs.
  • Set up and run robust data analytics to measure the effectiveness of our events, improve targeting and inform future event strategy.
  • Act as an AI literate focal point for the team: identify use cases, prototype and potentially build AI enabled tools and workflows to enhance working processes, improve efficiency and scale best practice across the global investor access team.
  • Use strong institutional sales understanding to translate stakeholder and customer needs into clear, prioritised actions that strengthen our market position.
  • Monitor client impact and impact on new business conversion, providing clear, data driven commentary and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate tangible improvement and standardisation of materials produced, leveraging data, automation and AI where appropriate.
  • Think creatively and challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement and innovation in how we plan, execute and measure institutional client engagement activities.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a global team in a fast paced environment, ensuring regular engagement and relationship building with stakeholders.
  • Translate stakeholders’ and customers’ needs into clear, prioritised actions, ensuring all relevant inputs are invited, considered and managed.
  • Knowledge of digital and content editing tools (e.g. for presentations, video, or basic design) would be a strong plus.

Required Skills

  • CRM analytics experience.
  • Dashboarding, Management Information and Performance Reporting.
  • Tracking event data & KPI management.
  • Analytics & insight generation: Run robust analysis to measure event effectiveness, optimise targeting and shape future strategy.
  • Use of AI tools for automation, efficiency and identifying commercial insights.
