HSBC’s Infrastructure Finance team, part of Global Corporate and Institutional Banking, provides a full suite of services to corporates, financial sponsors, financial institutions, and governments in several sectors, including Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Transportation, Logistics, Support Services, and Digital/Telecommunication infrastructure. The team provides a single point for clients to access advice on financing, capital structuring and debt capital markets, as well as the associated execution of mandates.

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled professional to join our HSBC Infrastructure Finance team as a Director. You will be a key member of the team, responsible for the origination and execution of financing transactions for HSBC’s infrastructure client base.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of applicable sectors and products, providing coverage and execution services to HSBC’s infrastructure clients
  • Originate and lead strategic deals, demonstrating quality thought leadership
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and negotiation of key financial and project-related documents, including internal documents like credit memos
  • Lead the creation of marketing materials such as pitch books, proposals, teaser documents, and information memoranda
  • Conduct thorough industry and company-specific research
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other internal stakeholders and business units across regions within the bank
  • Contribute to the execution of the group’s overall business plan

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Strong deal structuring, negotiation and execution experience in global Infrastructure/Project Finance transactions
  • Significant experience in renewable energy, digital data or data centre sectors
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, including credit analysis, rating methodologies, and credit metrics
  • Proven track record in leading domestic and cross-border infrastructure advisory and financing transactions
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with a strong commercial orientation across various debt products, including loans, bonds, and derivatives transactions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to digest and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external stakeholders
