Director - AI Data Assets
Group AI Management and Strategy (AIMS) team is responsible for developing and implementing Group-wide strategic programs across HSBC aimed at accelerating the commercialisation and delivery of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) across HSBC. Key areas of focus include responsible development practices, common platforms and capabilities, AI technology enablement, governance, and the Group-wide AI Strategy.
In this fantastic new strategic role, you will join a growing team to lead AI Data Assets and Delivery. This critical role will focus on aligning our AI strategy with our Data Strategy, ensuring seamless integration of AI into the Data Strategy as AI becomes a significant creator of data in the future. The lead will drive strategic initiatives that leverage AI to enhance data management, governance, and utilization across HSBC's Group Businesses and Functions (GB/GFs).
In this role, duties will include:
- Aligning AI initiatives with the overall Data Strategy, ensuring that AI-driven data creation and management are integrated into strategic planning and execution.
- Developing and implementing frameworks for managing AI-generated data, ensuring compliance with data governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with data and AI teams to identify opportunities for leveraging AI to enhance data quality, accessibility, and analytics capabilities.
- Leading the design and delivery of AI solutions that optimize data processes, improve data-driven decision-making, and drive business value.
- Fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance AI and data integration efforts, promoting innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in AI and data management, integrating relevant insights into strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with HSBC Responsible AI standards and data privacy regulations throughout all AI and data activities.
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
Technical:
- AI and Data strategy, with a clear understanding of Data Fabric / Data Mesh and underlying principles (e.g., FAIR principles)
- Responsible AI Frameworks
- Understanding of both digital products and regulated industry so can bridge and move between where we are and where HSBC aspires to be
- Big Data Technologies and distributed computing frameworks to leverage these technologies for processing and analysing large datasets
- Legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services industry, such as GDPR, Data Sharing, CCPA, or specific financial regulations
