Director, Custody Product Technology Transformation Lead - AI Innovation

Role Overview
Custody is embarking on a multi-year transformation program to deliver industry-leading technology, and achieve superior, competitive client outcomes.
The Product Custody Technology Transformation Lead will be responsible for engagement between the Technology and Product Team, ensuring high quality articulation of business requirements and successful delivery of the transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
- Future State Design & Requirements
- Lead the articulation of high quality future-state business requirements ensuring Technology and Product are able to expedite delivery with minimal clarification
- Partner with Technology to document detailed technology specifications.
- Coordinate and refine Product and Operations future design requirements for Technology and third-party providers.
- Third Party Engagement
- Lead the 3rd Party engagement in partnership with Technology to optimise external technology provider relationships
- Ensure requirements are documented to a high standard and delivered on time to facilitate implementation.
- Program Delivery
- Partner with the Program Manager and Custody Technology lead to develop and execute a comprehensive plan to deliver Product and Operations requirements for the Custody Product Technology Transformation.
- Oversee testing activities, ensuring quality, scope, and timely delivery.
- Risk Management
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Optimise senior relationships with Technology leadership and third-party providers.
- Partner with Technology leads to optimise technology solutions through effective engagement and communication.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leading large-scale technology transformation programs within Custody or Securities Services.
- Strong understanding of Custody platforms, including Global Custody and DCC systems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, including RTB (Run the Bank) and CTB (Change the Bank) resources.
- Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and technology specification documentation.
- Ability to role model active incorporation of AI use in working style.
- Track record of successful vendor engagement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior relationship-building skills.
- Strong risk management and mitigation capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Business Analysis, or Technology Transformation (e.g., PMP, CBAP).
- Experience working with third-party technology providers in the financial services industry.
