Accountabilities
Client Management & Sales
- Identify and manage sales opportunities from initial identification to post-trade process.
- Service a portfolio of Strategic, Focus, and Transactional clients, including those on e-platforms.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships to drive revenue growth and product penetration.
- Provide day-to-day sales coverage using the full suite of Corporate Sales offerings.
- Deliver tailored solutions leveraging HSBC’s product expertise and Thought Leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Relationship Managers, GPS, GTS) to enhance client service and share of wallet.
- Champion adoption of relevant service offerings, including self-service e-capabilities and offshore support.
Operational Excellence
- Manage changes to processes as technology platforms evolve.
- Ensure all activities for Strategic and Focus clients are executed in line with agreed principles.
- Oversee outsourced activities with Global Service Centres, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Identify and originate cross-sell opportunities across products and geographies.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory and business environments, including audit, tax, and legal implications.
Leadership & Teamwork (for Supervisors)
- Set direction and leadership for local Corporate Sales teams.
- Supervise staff to mitigate risks (inappropriate trading, unauthorised activity, financial crime).
- Ensure adherence to HSBC policies and procedures.
- Escalate unusual activity or behaviour as required.
- Build an enthusiastic, motivated team demonstrating HSBC values.
- Plan staffing resources across time zones and countries.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training; conduct performance appraisals.
- Standardise communications and outputs with CRS and Digital & Transactional Sales Teams.
- Lead organisational and technological change initiatives.
Risk & Compliance
- Maintain robust control environment and compliance monitoring.
- Adhere to internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and mitigate operational risks, escalating issues as needed.
- Complete mandatory training and apply learnings to the role.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong analytical aptitude and business knowledge.
- Deep understanding of Corporate Sales business, MSS products, clients, and key processes.
- Good grasp of Capital Markets, especially foreign exchange instruments (Spot, Options, Swaps, Forwards, Futures) and interest rate derivatives.
- Ability to manage diverse and complex product sets.
- Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in driving operational effectiveness and process improvement.
Experience / Qualifications
- Relevant exams and qualifications to satisfy local and cross-border market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
- Proven track record in delivering revenue growth and client satisfaction.
