We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Digital Platforms Business Architect Lead.

Digital Platforms sits at the centre of our digital transformation, enabling how millions of customers interact with us every day. You’ll work at the intersection of business architecture, enterprise transformation and strategic execution. Reporting to the Head of Digital Platforms, Strategy, Governance and Operations you’ll partner closely with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Design, Data and Business to translate strategic priorities into enterprise capabilities, target operating models and transformation initiatives. The remit spans enterprise scale - supporting more than 20 million customers across 36 markets. Success means clearer decision-making through reusable frameworks, stronger alignment between strategy, investment and delivery and accelerated progress towards AI-enabled, platform-led and Agentic Banking.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll

  • Translate Digital Platforms strategy into executable business architecture, operating models and transformation initiatives
  • Solve ambiguous enterprise problems using structured consulting approaches and hypothesis-driven thinking
  • Benchmark industry trends, emerging technologies and leading practices to inform Digital Platforms evolution
  • Establish enterprise capability roadmaps aligned to long-term Digital Platforms transformation priorities
  • Define target operating models that improve alignment across customer strategy, business capabilities, platforms and technology
  • Develop business cases, commercial assessments and prioritisation frameworks to support investment decisions

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Substantial experience in management consulting, enterprise strategy, business architecture or large-scale transformation
  • Demonstrated delivery of complex enterprise-wide strategic initiatives within financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional programmes across Product, Technology, Design, Data and Business
  • Comfortable at building operating models, business capabilities and strategic roadmaps that translate strategy into execution
  • Can apply structured problem solving, hypothesis-driven analysis and commercial thinking to inform decisions
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled transformation, platform modernisation, intelligent automation or digital banking platforms
