We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Currency Clearing Institutional Clients Commercialisation Manager – West.

You’ll be a member of the Global Payments Solutions and be primarily responsible for driving commercialisation and supporting our currency clearing product performance for financial institution clients. You’ll act as a vital connector between our Institutional Sales teams and Cross Border Cross Currency Payments product teams around the world, guiding how to position, structure and price solutions across our major currency clearing centres, as well as champion global commercialisation efforts.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will:

  • Act as the product commercialisation owner for the West (UK, Europe and the Americas) supporting Sales and Proposal teams with currency clearing positioning, deal structuring and pricing guidance across major currencies (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, HKD, RMB, etc.)
  • Partner with client facing teams across markets to actively inform our clients on the latest product offerings and market trends, helping translate client needs into compelling product solutions
  • Provide insights on clearing best practices and identify opportunities to enhance the institutional client experience
  • Promote and embed global commercialisation initiatives (go-to-market activity, proposition enhancements, sales enablement)
  • Maintain strong connectivity with Cross Border and Cross Currency Product teams to ensure consistent positioning, communication and effective execution across countries and corridors
  • Gather and synthesise frontline and client feedback to inform product enhancements and prioritisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Operations, Client Servicing, Implementation, Technology, Risk/Compliance) to deliver the best client experience
  • Track and share pipeline themes, competitor signals, win/loss insights and commercial performance indicators relevant to currency clearing

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in Transaction Banking and Payments
  • Market management, commercialisation or product management experience in high-value domestic and cross-border wire clearing networks and infrastructures (e.g., Swift, CHAPS, T2, CHATS, Fedwire, CHIPS), with a particular focus on financial institutions
  • Experience in supporting commercial deal execution (pricing/structuring/proposals) and influencing stakeholders across Sales and Product
  • Financial acumen to support commercial discussions, including interpreting profitability drivers and pricing practices
  • Strong partnership, relationship-building and negotiation skills; comfortable operating across countries and time zones
