HSBC Private Bank (PB) Marketing is focussed on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the business across all geographies in which PB operates. The function champions a deep understanding of high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) customers to develop, execute, and optimise Marketing strategies across the marketing mix. 

 

This role is within the central marketing team which has responsibility for the overall marketing strategy for PB, brand and the digital channels that PB utilises. The objective of the team is to work across the marketing funnel to raise awareness of the brand, develop highly engaging thought leadership activated across paid and organic channels, ensure prospects can easily find PB in the digital ecosystem and work with product/proposition teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.

 

In addition, there is the need to develop specific content marketing strategies for key PB audiences including Next Generation, UHNW and Family Offices. This will include generating content but also identifying, negotiating and executing external collaborations that either bring engaging material or greater access to our priority audiences.

 

This will require building a detailed knowledge of the chosen areas, working with our PB experts to develop an official house view and turn this into tangible marketing activity. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking as well as have exceptionally strong communication skills.  Being able to manage multiple programmes of work and prioritise across them aligned to business objectives will also be an important attribute.

In this role you will:

  • Support multi-channel marketing plans to promote PB expertise into markets including owned, earned and paid channels.
  • Develop industry leading thought leadership around investment themes for all PB audiences (Next generation, UHNW, family businesses amongst others).
  • Utilise trend mapping tools and customer insights to identify opportunities to deliver hyper-relevant thought leadership.
  • Support the smooth running of agency relationships to deliver thought leadership programmes.
  • Collaborate with PB Communications colleagues to achieve earned media (PR) outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Expert experience in the field of either Content Marketing, External Communications or PR - essential
  • Private Banking or Wealth Management experience - essential
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects from start to finish - essential
  • A creative and strategic thinker
  • The confidence to manage the requirements of executive level stakeholders

 

This role is based in London.
