We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Client Director.

 

The Client Director reports to the Head of Client Management within MME and is responsible for looking after a portfolio of complex Receivables Finance clients (but will expand to include elements of day-to-day management of trade facilities), managing their facilities with us and ensuring all risks presented are mitigated whilst also identifying opportunities to grow their business with us.  

 

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the face of the bank, positioning HSBC as the key GTS provider
  • Assist in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers.
  • Assist in the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers
  • Support plans and strategies to generate new business for both ‘new to bank’ and existing HSBC Customers in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship managers, CMB leadership and other product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
  • Protect the Bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to interact with business customers at a senior and strategic level.
  • Working knowledge of GTS services, products and techniques.
  • Experience of managing and supporting the structuring of ABL facilities
  • Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk
  • Knowledge of Commercial banking’s proposition and product capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues.

The base location for this role is London operating a Hybrid working pattern.
