We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, ETD and OTC Clearing.

As an Associate Director in derivative clearning services (DCS), will be responsible for growing HSBC's listed derivatives clearing, OTC derivative clearing and institutional client franchise

In this role you will:

- Focus on the origination of new ETD and OTC clearing institutional mandates
- Cross-selling of ETD and OTC clearing capabilities across MSS divisions
- Plan regular marketing campaigns to advertise HSBC ETD and OTC clearing capabilities at flagship industry events
- Coordinating all aspects of the clearing origination process with business stakeholders in legal, operations and risk control
- Develop relationships with exchanges and clearing houses, clearing brokers, regulators and industry bodies
- Proactively identify and manage risks associated with derivatives clearing activities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations and industry best practices in derivatives clearing and communicate regulatory and industry developments to clients
- Develop and implement new and innovative clearing solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability
- Contribute to the development and execution of the bank's capital allocation strategy for derivatives activities

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Proven working experience in derivatives clearing sales, with a proven track record of mandates origination at a leading clearing broker
- In-depth knowledge of derivatives products, clearing house rules, and relevant regulations
- Strong understanding of risk management principles as applied to derivatives 
- Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with relevant clearing technologies and systems is highly desirable
