HSBC Alternatives is the alternative investment arm of HSBC Asset Management, investing globally in a wide spectrum of alternatives asset classes which include private market funds, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, private debt and venture capital, and has AUM of $58 billion.  
We are currently seeking a professional to join our team as an Associate, Private Markets Portfolio & Asset Monitoring.

The Portfolio Monitoring team provide ongoing monitoring of private equity, private credit and infrastructure investments and helping to ensure the integrity and completeness of portfolio data used for portfolio monitoring and client reporting.

 

In this role you will:

    • Conduct various portfolio monitoring activities which include the ongoing Cashflow and Liquidity monitoring of existing investment portfolio.
    • Maintain and update key investment database, ensuring integrity and completeness of data used for portfolio monitoring and client reporting.
    • Prepare responses to inbound client requests and assist with client reporting.
    • Support the team in the digitalization of the portfolio management capabilities.
    • Participate in the team day-to-day activities of running a best-in-class global Alternative investment program.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

    • Deep and thorough understanding of Asset Management - Private Markets / Private Equities investment structures and how the associated cash flow / liquidity monitoring is undertaken is essential.
    • Have a strong commercial awareness gained from working as an analyst using well-developed quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and to working with complex financial / big data sets is essential.
    • Can evidence a high level of communication capability and be able to work with various forms of information to produce easily digestible reports and presentations is essential.
    • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across internal and external audiences is essential.
    • Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities is essential.

 

This role is based at HSBC Office in London and has a hybrid working pattern
