We are currently seeking an individual to join the team as Associate, CIB Strategy.

 

HSBC is a global leader in Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB). We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Global CIB Strategy team as an Associate. This role has the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives that shape CIB’s agenda, to deliver maximum value for the Group shareholder.

In this role, you will: -

  • Lead the development and execution of key strategic initiatives in CIB.
  • Identify key trends, opportunities and issues using HSBC and external sources to provide actionable recommendations for CIB leadership.
  • Effectively communicate the recommendations / insights with colleagues both within CIB Strategy and outside of the team.
  • Manage key stakeholders across CIB and collaborate effectively across other lines of business and functions.
  • Work with Associates / Analysts / Engagement Managers and alongside Directors (as required) on strategic initiatives across problem definition, analysis, development of recommendations and execution planning.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: -

 

  • Consulting experience with a focus on Financial Services.
  • Understanding of Corporate / Institutional Banking along with its competitive forces.
  • Highly analytical and able to draw insights from quantitative and qualitative data sources.
  • Experience of executing strategic projects, and delivering quality, insightful output for senior audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently but collaboratively in a small team with a flat structure.
  • Prior experience with a top tier consulting firm will be an added advantage.
  • Strategy experience preferable.
