If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Marketing Manager (Job Share - 17.5 hours across Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays).

This role is offered as a job share with set working days: Wednesday (half day) and Thursday/Friday (full days). We’re happy to discuss the working pattern across those days (e.g., which day is a half day etc), but the days themselves are fixed.

Working as part of the Marketing team at first direct, you’ll lead growth-focused marketing strategy and delivery across priority products and channels, with clear accountability for FRP and product performance targets. You’ll help shape the plan, drive execution at pace, and use insight and performance data to optimise outcomes always keeping the customer at the heart of what we do.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Own and deliver the growth marketing plan for agreed products, translating business priorities into clear strategies, campaign roadmaps and measurable outcomes aligned to trading targets
  • Lead end-to-end campaign delivery across channels (e.g. email and in app banners), ensuring high-quality execution and continuous optimisation
  • Be accountable for performance: define KPIs, track results, manage budgets, and use test-and-learn to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement and retention
  • Partner with agency teams and internal specialists (brand, propositions, data/analytics, digital, product, risk/compliance) to develop effective, customer-centric communications and assets
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders, providing clear updates on performance, risks, trade-offs and recommendations to hit goals

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Significant marketing experience with a proven track record of delivering activity that drives measurable growth and commercial outcomes
  • Strategic thinking capability: able to set direction, prioritise effectively, and connect marketing activity to product and trading targets
  • Performance-driven mindset with strong analytical skills—comfortable using data to make decisions, optimise activity, and demonstrate ROI
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge constructively and gain alignment across teams
  • Excellent project/programme management skills with the ability to deliver at pace in a changing environment
  • High standards and attention to detail, with a passion for quality and the confidence to escalate risks/issues early
  • Ability to balance commercial objectives and customer outcomes, making informed decisions aligned to customer and business strategy

Opening up a world of opportunity.
