This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level candidate to join the Credit Risk Modelling team. This role will support the development of models for UK Retail Portfolio’s critical to the enable the bank’s growth strategy, including decision models and IFRS 9 ECL models. The successful candidate will have an analytical background, will formulate conclusions from their analysis and relay them, in a clear and concise manner.

In this role you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of models for UK Retail portfolios, including application scores, behaviour scores and IFRS 9 ECL models.
  • Work with deployment teams to implement models, and with strategy teams on use of the models.
  • Carry out analytical tasks related to modelling as allocated by the Project Lead.
  • Produce or use monitoring / MI to assess the impact and performance of risk decisions / models and deliver accurate, logical and insightful commentary alongside the MI.
  • Have a keen eye for detail to ensure that any issues and/or concerns are effectively communicated to the project lead.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven analytical background.
  • Prior coding experience in one of the following programme languages: SAS, SQL, Python or R.
  • Proven experience reviewing and analysing data with proven ability to draw thorough conclusions based on findings.
  • Prior experience demonstrating effective communication skills.

 

This role is based in Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham or Chester on a hybrid working basis..
