We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Credit Risk Analyst.
As a Credit Risk Analyst you’ll support the development and maintenance of commercial credit risk decisioning models (such as acquisition and behaviour scorecards) and other credit strategies.

In this role you’ll:
- Support the development and maintenance of commercial credit risk decisioning models with a focus on Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers in the UK, and support internal model review, independent review, and if required, external review processes
- Explore new data sources to improve credit models and credit insights
- Apply innovative thinking and analytical techniques to improve model performance and development processes
- Identify areas which require data remediation and proactively engage with internal stakeholders to address them
- Develop new credit risk strategies to mitigate against emerging market risks and existing portfolio performance, and deploy credit risk models and strategies on new and existing risk systems
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A background in quantitative or technical field is essential, for example mathematics statistics, or econometrics.
- Experience of developing and monitoring credit risk decisioning models, such as aquisition or behaviour scorecards, or regulatory models such as PD, EAD and LGD
- Strong data management skills with a good understanding of statistics and familiarity with sophisticated tools for numerical analysis
- Programming skills in Python is essential, with SAS and SQL knowledge being advantageous
- Ability to progress multiple tasks at the same time to support successful delivery of projects within an agreed time scale
- Creative problem solving skills, with a track record of challenging the status quo to deliver improved ways of working
- Ability to prepare clear and effective presentations, documentation and analysis
