We are seeking an ambitious individual to join the Global Payments Services Operations team in Kuwait as a Operations Associate to support the growing business and achieve divisional targets.
In this role, key responsibilities is as below:-
• Understand the regulatory environment we operate within, including the significant market-wide change programmes.
• Support the implementation of TOMs within country.
• Support the Manager, Operations to deliver the annual business plan in line with Global Business demand.
• Support the Manager, Operations for establishing Payments Operations goals in Production Quality, Service Quality, Financial Performance, and Operational Risk that meet Payments & Wholesale Operations targets.
• Support the Manager, Operations for ensuring global change programmes that impact Payments Operations and ensure they are fully supported, and any implications are fully understood.
• Support the Manager, Operations for the implementation of initiatives across Payments Operations as appropriate, liaising with resources from the Business and Change Delivery as necessary. Function as the key interface between Operations and Lines of Businesses in country. Partner closely with the Global/Regional Operations team to deliver a best-in-class proposition to business partners.
• Actively identify and realize quality and timeliness improvements through automation, elimination, and standardization to deliver cost efficient, high quality and scalable services to business partners.
• Implement Operations strategy, by migrating work to the most appropriate, cost-effective location to leverage cost and efficiency benefits of Operations global capabilities. This can include outsourcing of work to a third party.
• Drive up customer advocacy through excellent customer relationships with the business/function heads.
• Ensure SLAs are agreed and then achieved or exceeded.
• Deliver key projects, in line with Operations global model.
• Effective management of contracts with third party suppliers
• Have excellent working relationships with Country / Operational Risk, DBS stakeholders, Group Internal Audit and External Auditors / Local regulators
• Be responsible for identifying and commissioning opportunities to improve Service Quality across Payments & Wholesale Operations.
• Establish proactive partnerships with other key stakeholders, including, but not exclusively Risk, Transformation, and Technology to support service and product development initiatives.
• Ensure operational control and risk management by actively overseeing implementation of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements that include business continuity, operational risk, information security, and compliance requirements.
• Support the Operations Manager with the execution of Payments Operations annual control monitoring plans.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of Payment Operations, including products, services, systems & processes.
• Excellent knowledge of Payment Remittance, Investigations, Screening, Charges Unit,
• Excellent understanding of Payment Systems within Kuwait
• Good understanding of operational risk and controls
• Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
• Able to communicate clearly and succinctly with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
• Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels; imperative to navigate.
• Bachelor’s degree is a must
