Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Manager Fund Admin Operations

Job Purpose

Ensures the effective management of the Fund Admin Operations group in HSBC (M) Trustee Berhad (KLT FS) to maximise long term business performance whilst minimising regulatory and reputational risks

It is highly essential to ensure that amidst the increasing regulatory pressure through the Securities Commission and the repositioning of the Fund Accounting and Valuation business, there is proper management and control over the operation of the Fund Admin section

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensures the Trust Accounts are effectively administered with the Fund Admin Operations Group
  • Keep abreast of market developments and industry best practices.
  • Manages, maintains and provides added value to relationship
  • Develop and initiate talent management for self and reporting staff.
  • Develop and broaden knowledge of HSS Fund Services business needs.
  • Maintain HSBC Internal Control Standards, implement & observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operation risk & reputational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with all Group standards, FIMs etc

Requirements 

  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in similar field
  • Commercially astute with excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Leadership, communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Management experience.
  • Responsible, mature individual with good analytical skills and a strong commitment to deliver within tight deadlines and able to multi-task.
  • Meticulous and detail conscious.
  • Desire to succeed, a change agent and team player
