Global Finance
Global Finance aims to provide HSBC with a professional, effective and responsive finance service that operates at optimal cost and employs a common and transparent global model.
We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Finance Manager, Local Financial Reporting.
Principal Responsibilities
- To prepare various input for disclosures in the Interim and Annual Financial Statements. To also prepare audit committee and board papers.
- To prepare financial and treasury regulatory reporting returns to Central Bank Malaysia (BNM), other regulators, rating agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- To prepare analysis and commentaries on financial performance, including analysis of competitor banks’ performance.
- To be the key coordinator for bank-wide rating review exercise by rating agencies.
- To prepare annual Task force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- To support line manager in projects. This includes liaison with stakeholders, gathering information, preparing presentation slides, writing of deliverables, and giving presentation.
- To support and implement new and updates of financial and regulatory reporting requirements and system solutions, including performing gap analysis on the related guidelines.
- To identify and support digital solutions as part of continuous streamlining of reporting processes.
- To assist in improving control governance for reporting process, especially those under the scope of BNM Statistical Reporting Enforcement Framework.
- To ensure adherence to HSBC Internal Control Standards, including timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
Requirements
- Minimum with Degree qualification. Possessing 3 to 5 years of related knowledge and practical experience in financial reporting will be an additional advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point. Resilient and adaptable with system technical experience. Having knowledge of Python/ PowerBI/ Alteryx applications will be an added advantage.
- Effective communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A fast learner, and able to multi-task.
- A good team player.
- Adaptable to a dynamic environment and able to deliver consistent performance.
