We are currently seeking an ambitious and young professional to join our team in the role of Credit Underwriting Specialist

 

Background on the role:

You’ll join the UOD (Unauthorized Overdraft) team, which manages overdrawn accounts triggered by transactions such as Autopay, cheque issuance and standing instructions. The role also supports handling accounts in unauthorized overdraft status by performing fund transfer (Set Off) and account closure (Write Off) activities.

Key requirements for the role:

  • Essential: Fluent in Mandarin (converse and read)
  • Cantonese capability is strong plus.
  • Attention to detail, comfortable with routine processing and meeting deadlines/targets.
  • Ways of working: Able to follow procedures, manage pressure, and work well in a team.
  • The selected candidate must be flexible to start early, with shifts beginning between 7:00am to 9:00am.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Process actions and customer requests on accounts by following defined procedures for the assigned workstream.
  • Meet productivity and timeline requirements with a high level of accuracy and focus.
  • Proactively resolve issues and escalate where needed to support customer outcomes and prevent recurrence.
  • Support monitoring of volumes to meet agreed service timelines (PLA).

 

What you need to succeed the role:

  • Qualifications: Diploma / Degree (any discipline). Work experience not essential.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage deadlines with good organization and prioritization.
  • Strong telephone conversational skills; ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task across operational activities and shifts as required by the process.
