We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager Global Market Product Control (Valuation Control) (8-months Contractor)

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Perform day end rates maintenance into the Primary Trading system and ensure stale and variance checks are carried out.
  • Perform analytical review of Markets activities, and ensuring the accuracy of P&L and balance sheet.
  • Assist in preparing various valuation, financial, and management returns in accordance to International Accounting Reporting Standards adopted by the Group and/or regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in calculation of various type of valuation adjustment including Fair Value adjustment (FVA) and Prudent Valuation Adjustment (PVA) reserve.
  • Support in ensuring fair value of Markets portfolio by monitoring market rate trends and ensuring valuation principals are in line with Group guidelines and accounting standards.
  • Review market data provided by sources to ensure their relevance and reliability.
  • Assist in daily and monthly balance sheet substantiation process, which includes but not limited to reconciliation from Primary Trading system to GL, investigating and remediating intersystem reconciliation breaks, monitor aging and ensure clearing of receivables/payables and suspense account.
  • Provide support and relief cover to the team members.
  • Provide support in implementation of new systems/workflow/product roll out.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • High numerical proficiency.
  • Able to deliver within daily deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with a good command of English, and ability to convey and comprehend message effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and interacts well with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Able to work and collaborate as a team player.
