We are currently seeking for an experienced professional to join HSBC’s CIB team in the role of Analyst, International Mid-Markets (IMM), covering both HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd (HBMY) and HSBC Amanah Malaysia Bhd (HBMS).
Principal Responsibilities:
Assist the Global Relationship Managers (GRM) on a portfolio of IMM customer relationships to provide top class customer service and maintaining sound credit quality, based on the following scope of works:
- Drive revenue growth and increase the Bank’s share of customer’s wallets through continuous monitoring of income generated across all products and maximising utilisation of existing facilities
- Strong understanding of the bank’s product offerings and to collaborate with product partners in delivering appropriate need-based solutions for customers
- Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry including any latest development thereof to provide insights to GRM on any potential risks and opportunities
- To identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor the client’s risk profile including financial crime risk through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews throughout the client lifecycle, in accordance with the internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Ensure prompt escalation or sharing of relevant information relating to the client, so that members of the client coverage team can form and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the risks to HSBC
Requirement:
- Minimum of 2 years of corporate/commercial banking experience.
- Strong credit assessment and analytical skills including understanding of risk management and mitigation.
- Any exposure/ experience in undertaking complex and structured financing transactions, domestic and/or international, would be an added advantage
- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders especially at the working levels
- Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills and able to manage deliverables within tight timeline
- Excellent range of communication skills, including written and verbal,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance/ Accounting/ Economics or any other relevant fields
- Professional qualifications in ACCA/ CFA or other equivalent professional banking qualifications would be an added advantage
