Join the Production Support Team within the Payments IT department. The team is responsible for the technical operations of Global Payments Execution, Messaging and Orchestration and Sanctions and Investigation services in a mission critical environment. Working with Site Reliability Engineering disciplines across vendor products and in-house developed microservices you will help protect platform availability and service stability as customer demand continues to move towards real-time payments.
What you’ll do
- Provide day-to-day Production Support including resolution of live incidents and post-resolution problem management
- Investigate major system problems and identify root causes to reduce repeat incidents
- Install and implement new software releases provided by vendors
- Implement locally developed solutions using Shell scripting, Java, Bash and Python
- Support testing activities related to new implementations and changes
- Partner with stakeholders across different global locations to coordinate delivery and support
- Review, design and re-engineer processes using new technologies to improve performance and operational outcomes
- Evaluate and apply tools to analyse architecture and strengthen service offerings and capability uplifts
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Demonstrate fluency in English with strong spoken and written communication across a global organisation
- Bring proven experience in SQL and PL/SQL
- Bring proven experience in Linux
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Apply strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and components
- Use shell scripting for automation using at least one of Bash, Python or Java
- Apply knowledge of system monitoring and performance tuning alongside strong troubleshooting skills
- Show experience in Agile and DevOps environments including adoption, engineering and execution of automated CI/CD pipelines
