WPB and Retail Portfolio Lead, Real Estate Services, HK

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a WPB and Retail Portfolio Lead, Real Estate Services, HK.

The role holder will support Hong Kong (AMH) Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) and Commercial Banking (CMB) Businesses in the development and implementation of their branch network initiatives and strategies. The role holder should drive convenience and efficiency for both RES and Businesses in terms of engagement and delivery. The role scope includes:

In this role you will

• Delivering an end-to-end network plan through innovative and forward-thinking RES initiatives
• Engaging with Market business leadership to understand business processes and direction to ensure both RBW/CMB and RES strategies are designed to respond to significant changes in real estate and customer behaviour
• Oversee Business awareness and governance to ensure branch network related RES risks are escalated and address in timely manner
• Build relationships with key stakeholders within the Businesses and be able to work effectively across diverse areas of the business
• Oversight on RES services in the workstreams below to ensure tasks and activities requested by RBW and CMB are carried out effectively:
  • Retail Network strategy planning and optimization
  • Retail Estates & Transactions management
  • Capital Projects Design and Delivery
  • Facilities Management and Customer Experience
  • Workplace occupancy planning
  • As well as alignment across Health and Safety and Governance and Planning
• Adding value to the Businesses by providing proactive consultancy and expertise in RES across all disciplines and bringing RES concepts and solutions to the Business management teams to improve the running of the Businesses
• Engaging with a number of significant external suppliers as well as an internal team of property professionals
• Working with RBW and CMB to prioritise costs against P&L and order book aligns to the retail branch network strategy and RES cost parameters
• Managing  and CMB Network RES related direct and indirect cost profile
• Working with Global Portfolio Strategy & Optimisation Function and PTE Leads to clearly define optimal branch footprint plans based on top down and market requirements
• Be the first point of contact to the Business in relation to any RES related adhoc inquiries and triage to relevant workstreams 

To be successful you will need

• Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within multiple disciplines or a fast changing discipline
• The role requires a sound understanding of a value unit / product / region / legal entity, alongside a good understanding of the industry and the challenges and changes in the sector
• Management responsibilities for a sizeable team of professionals (including responsibility for budget, and planning)
• Covers a wide range of activities that require evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated perhaps novel situations
• Seeks ways of improving and adapting day to day departmental activities and will actively seek authority to implement them
• Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework.  Broad guidelines are available.  Role implements strategy set by others
• Implements business plans through own team and is accountable for results
• The role requires the ability to guide, persuade and influence others through the developed skills of communication and diplomacy
• The role requires the ability to negotiate and influence within their team with a high level of influence
