The role will lead the innovation agenda across digital channels, shaping and delivering new digital propositions and customer journeys across mobile and online banking, digital identity, open banking, and other digital touchpoints. The role combines digital product leadership with fintech and ecosystem development to improve customer experience, accelerate digital adoption, and create new commercial value through emerging technologies and partnerships.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President (Digital Innovation), Digital Channel ,Business Banking.
In this role you will
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle for innovation-led digital propositions, from discovery and concept validation through business case, pilot/MVP, launch, optimisation, and post-implementation review, with strong accountability for quality, execution discipline, and customer outcomes.
- Define and prioritise a future roadmap for digital channels, balancing customer needs, commercial value, market/fintech opportunities, and delivery feasibility.
- Drive innovation in mobile and online banking journeys to improve consistency, usability, engagement, and differentiated customer experiences.
- Identify, assess, and develop fintech and ecosystem partnerships (including beyond-banking propositions) that deepen customer engagement and unlock new value pools.
- Support open banking and API-enabled propositions by working across internal teams and external partners to enable integrated customer solutions, including AI-driven capabilities such as AI-powered personalisation, intelligent recommendations, and AI-enabled servicing, in line with governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional delivery across product, technology, design, operations, risk, compliance, and analytics to ensure timely and controlled execution in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Apply strong project management discipline to manage timelines, dependencies, governance, risks, and stakeholder communications, ensuring innovation is delivered safely and compliantly.
- Use data, customer insight, and performance metrics to identify issues, assess opportunities, measure outcomes, and continuously optimise adoption, servicing, and commercial impact.
- Translate complex analysis into clear business narratives and recommendations, using data to tell a compelling story for stakeholders and senior management.
To be successful you will need
- University degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience in digital product management, digital innovation, fintech, digital channels, or customer journey management, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience delivering digital products, innovation initiatives, or channel capabilities in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Demonstrated accountability for quality, delivery outcomes, and execution standards across the product lifecycle (including pilots through to scaled delivery).
- Strong analytical skills and a structured mindset, with the ability to break down problems, evaluate trade-offs, and make sound recommendations.
- Comfortable working with data to generate insight, support decision-making, and shape product or business narratives.
- Experience using data and customer insight to influence priorities, monitor performance, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Solid project management experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives with clear milestones, governance, and execution accountability.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
- Good understanding of digital banking, customer experience design, analytics-led optimisation, and regulatory considerations in financial services.
- Experience in fintech partnerships, ecosystem collaboration, open banking, and AI-enabled digital journeys/personalisation capabilities would be an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively across functions.
