Principal Responsibilities:
- Embed with squads/streams to accelerate delivery, especially for high-priority or complex initiatives across critical services.
- Build and integrate end-to-end solutions across front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and reliability.
- Rapidly diagnose delivery blockers (API design, integration issues, environment/platform constraints) and drive them to resolution with clear options and trade-offs.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes, pain points, and technical requirements, translating them into deliverable solutions.
- Translate business outcomes into technical designs with clear non-functional requirements (availability, latency, throughput, scalability).
- Deliver “forward deployed” outcomes by working hands-on with users and delivery teams to implement solutions in real environments, iterating quickly based on feedback.
- Champion engineering best practices: code quality, peer reviews, test automation, performance testing, and maintainable documentation.
- Responsible for bringing a customer centric approach to all deliveries.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and proposing pragmatic, high-impact enhancements
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across locations
Requirements:
- University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline with at least 10 years of strong working experience in Finance or IT service industry
- Proven IT and operational experience, with a strong client service record and a service delivery focused mind-set
- Experience delivering change for critical services with strong non-functional focus (performance, resilience, security).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong quality bar, focused on delivering reliable, usable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and the capability to deliver a change program whilst also managing an important, growing customer facing ‘run the bank’ service
- Solid planning and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands
- Experience of working in a highly-matrix environment
