If you’re looking to take an exciting new direction with your HSBC career, an internal move can open the door to many opportunities, allowing you to take on a new challenge, and develop your skills. Bring your knowledge of our brand to a new role and grow yourself further.

Real Estate Services (RES) is part of the Global Procurement & RES Infrastructure team within the Global Chief Operating Office (GCOO) at HSBC. The function is responsible for shaping and delivering the Bank’s real estate strategy globally, working in close partnership with businesses, senior leadership and external strategic partners.

In this role, you’ll act as the glue across RES, turning the global strategy into clear, practical priorities for the region. You’ll help ensure we deliver consistently, with strong governance and business management, while also improving performance insight and keeping employee engagement high.

You’ll also play a key part in shaping the culture, building effective partnerships across the business, and developing a strong regional business management capability. On top of that, you’ll lead on employee engagement activities, including workforce planning, talent and succession planning, communications, and driving continuous improvement across the region.

The role will report to the global Head of RES Performance & Engagement and the Head of Real Estate Services, AME.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish a clear operating rhythm for the Head of RES (priorities, oversight, executive updates, stakeholder cadence).
  • Implement and run the regional RES annual Scorecard process (inputs, tracking, performance narratives, reporting pack).
  • Align cross-service-line priorities and interdependencies to support consistent strategy execution and service delivery.
  • Operationalise the RES Blueprint in line with organisational design and location strategy.
  • Own workforce planning and headcount governance (Anaplan data integrity, forecasting, submissions) and manage hiring controls with HR.
  • Lead talent mapping, succession planning, and future skills development across RES.
  • Run governance forums as Secretariat (agenda, papers, decisions, action tracking).
  • Execute the regional RES Engagement Plan (Town Halls, Exchanges, other people initiatives) and strengthen internal communications/RES brand.
  • Drive change delivery and continuous improvement (process reengineering, centralisation, new ways of working) and reinforce high-performance standards.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Execution & delivery: Proven ability to translate global frameworks into consistent regional delivery across multiple markets with strong execution discipline.
  • Business management & governance: Experience managing governance processes, executive reporting, and business management activities in a complex organisation.
  • Performance & workforce management: Experience in performance cycles, workforce planning, and headcount governance.
  • Stakeholder and matrix management: Ability to influence and work effectively with Regional and Country leadership within a matrix structure.
  • Communication & engagement: Strong ability to shape clear, concise narratives and adapt global messaging to regional context.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively across markets and service lines in a global organisation. Matrix management capability and tenacity to get things done.
  • Sound judgement: Pragmatic approach to navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and adapting to evolving requirements

This role is based in the HK on a hybrid basis.
