Senior Business Architect - International Wealth & Premier Banking

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Architect.
In this role you will:
- Ensure timely decisions on architecture of capabilities developed by IWPB Global Value Streams, in collaboration with IWPB IT Architecture. While architecture decisions at the level of a value stream or a capability area (e.g., GPB & Wealth, Retail Banking) are expected to be taken within those areas, the focus of this team is on cross-value stream, IWPB-level architecture decisions and on issues escalated for decision to the global IWPB level
- Define clarity on high-impact components of the IWPB business architecture that significantly affect direction of digitalization in key IWPB markets and businesses (e.g., global vs. local capabilities, choice of patterns and approaches to mobile and web capabilities, etc.)
- Put in place and oversee mechanisms to optimize reuse of capabilities across markets and avoid unnecessary product variation; identifying opportunities to further reuse the already existing digital assets
- Support IWPB value streams in definition of capabilities that are fit for purpose, in collaboration with IWPB Technology stakeholders.
- Manage overarching change governance across business and technology for VS solution decisions e.g. Changes to the customer journey taxonomy, market archetypes (the grouping of markets, based upon their common strategic outlook, that determines the scope of their target state), and the journeys determined to be hygiene journeys (minimum/must haves) by the global Value Streams and segments
- Manage overarching change governance for items that are more business/product led or recommendations to replace tactical solutions with strategic ones
- Manage resolution of complex cross-value stream solution design and co-design issues
- Deliver on key HSBC Group-level business architecture priorities
To be successful you will need:
- Knowledge of HSBC and International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) environment including strategy, products, processes, technology and people
- Understanding of the IWPB and the Retail, Wealth and Private Banking industry, including products, competitive landscape, regulatory environment and digitalization/innovation trends
- Agile Ways of Operating, operational Value Streams and Business Architecture frameworks.
- Digital transformation operations and change delivery knowledge
- Ability to grasp complex business and technology problems and design solutions to address these; understanding of technical design of digital capabilities across the layers of the technology stack
- Analytical skills to derive insight from large amounts of imperfect data and information
- Ability to take a commercial stance when evaluating architecture decisions
- Working on a global scale (i.e. across time zone & geography and with remote teams) and navigating through a complex matrix organizational structure
- Defining, establishing and communicating new/improved governance and processes
- Preparing executive presentations to support decision making
- Coordinating and/or leading decision-making forums
- Strong stakeholder management / Relationship Management, with the ability to interact with and influence Senior Leaders as needed
- Highly motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
