Product Design Lead - HK Business

In this role, you will:
- Influence our digital products strategy and roadmap to uplift HSBC customer experience for HK market.
- Lead complex end to end product design initiatives through ambiguity yourself and with designers
- Champion user experience, leveraging user research, data, customer feedback, and insights to inform user experience improvements.
- Drive the user experience design process from concept to final implementation, delivering best-in-class user experiences for HSBC Hong Kong’s digital products, including the mobile banking app and online banking.
- Hands-on delivery, including requirement visualisation, customer journey mapping, information architecture, wireframes, user flow, interaction design, interactive prototypes and detailed UI designs.
- Create design solutions that balance customer needs, business objectives, technical feasibility and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of user-centric digital solutions that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Drive design activities, including user research and ideation sessions, to create and refine user-centric digital solutions. Effectively communicate findings and design rationale to stakeholders.
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and best practices within the organisation.
- Uplift design quality and design practices across the team
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our digital experiences remain competitive and relevant.
- Manage your team own book of work. Set priorities and scope with designers. Manage your team day-to-day delivery work and ensure high quality design for delivery projects.
- Provide direction and mentorship to designers and foster team culture
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience as a Product Design Lead, UX/UI Design Lead or similar role
- Experience in leading design projects and managing designers would be a plus
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design skills, UI design skills and process.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, interaction design and accessibility standards.
- Profound understanding of best practices and trends regarding digital, banking, finance, and investment products.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
