We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Ops Manager Cards and Loans

 

In this role you will:

  • Monitor offshore teams’ adherence to relevant standards and requirements (e.g., BPC, BIA, procedures, and other control obligations).
  • Coordinate and drive annual reviews/attestations and ensure evidence is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Consolidate offshore submissions relating to compliance/control topics (gaps, breaches, issues, action plans).
  • Provide clear guidance to offshore teams on expected quality/format, and ensure deliverables meet onshore governance expectations.
  • Act as the key onshore contact to manage audit requests, clarify what auditors need, and coordinate responses across the offshore teams.
  • Review offshore-prepared documents/evidence for completeness, accuracy, and alignment to the ask before any audit walkthrough.
  • Support/lead audit walkthrough preparation and ensure final submissions are properly controlled, consistent, and delivered within timelines.
  • Provide onshore insight/input into projects impacting Cards & Loans (e.g., process changes, regulatory/control initiatives).
  • Identify “hiccups” early (process breaks, control weaknesses), escalate where needed, and track actions to closure.
  • Challenge appropriately to ensure fixes are effective rather than “tick-box” responses.
  • Support discussions with other departments (UWS, Business, IT, etc.) to unblock issues affecting the team and maintain continuity of delivery.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • General banking knowledge and understanding of card operations
  • Self-motivated
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attentive to details and proficiency in handling customer complaint
