We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Development Manager I.
One Insurance Sales Specialist Team Leader is accountable for managing a team of One Insurnace Sales Specialist (OSS) to fulfil the wealth insurance needs of HSBC One and mass segment with direct customer engagement, based on e.g. call leads and appointment bookings from (1) Contact Centre and Remote Channel, (2) Data and Analytics and (3) Campaigns, through a highly mobile outreach model.
In this role you will:
- To lead and manage OSS team to serve the insurance needs of HSBC One and Mass Market customers by providing flexible and convenient appointments outside of the branch network according to customer preferences.
- To work closely with HSBC Life, Contact Centre and Remote Channel and retail distribution team to deliver business objectives. On top, the role holder must also maintain the highest standards of risk management and control and compliance required by the Group and regulators.
- The role is accountable for the individual and collective performance of his/her team to ensure it is effectively run within the WPB Wealth Consulting Target Operating Model as defined by HSBC Group. A key responsibility is to develop the people and manage team attrition through development plans and recruitment strategies.
To be successful you will need:
- University degree in Business or related discipline
- Experienced in sales, preferably in the mid-market and team management, enthusiastic in driving and implementing projects, in addition to taking initiatives to achieve the required results
- Possess strong commercial thinking and business acumen – able to highlight key compliance and risk issues that could impact business performance
- Possess Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination Paper, including Paper 1, 3
- Strong communication skills, particularly relating to business considerations and use non-technical jargon
- Strong problem solving skills for wide range of problems
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese, English and Mandarin
