Retail Banking and Wealth has four key business areas responsible for efficiently bringing the best of HSBC to our clients through a broad and relevant suite of retail banking and wealth capabilities: Asset Management, Global Private Banking & Wealth, HSBC Life, Retail Banking & Strategy and COO & Digital Transformation.

We are currently seeking a motivated professional to join our private banking operations team as an Officer.

In this role you will:

• Perform day-to-day private banking operations in one or more of the following areas: securities settlement, structured products, payments, data maintenance or reconciliations.
• Partner with GSCs in Manila and Bangalore to deliver service level performance and resolve exceptions efficiently.
• Investigate and resolve breaks, exceptions and front office queries.
• Support internal control procedures, such as incident management and control review.
• Support change delivery, including product/system enhancements, test planning and execution, and coordination of UAT.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying root causes, proposing process enhancements and supporting automation/standardisation initiatives.

To be successful you will need:

• University degree in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in banking operations, with sound knowledge of investment products and operations and relevant regulations preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of application software such as MS Excel / MS Access / SWIFT / Euroclear / BBH preferred.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Great sense of ownership and service mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
