We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager WPB Process and Solutions (12-months).
In this role you will:
- Analyse capability/feature changes against delivery plans, shape launch strategies, and identify adoption/readiness risks while managing key stakeholder expectations.
- Plan and run releases end-to-end; lead migration, pilot and go-live planning across Technology, Business, Delivery, Marketing and frontline teams.
- Understand functional and data product design to support analytics, dashboards, reporting, adoption monitoring and benefits realisation.
- Ensure governance and regulatory compliance; manage required in-country approvals and adhere to relevant governance standards.
- Manage a value-stream aligned project portfolio; Align demand to objectives and translate these into delivery plans.
- Provide production support and operational consulting. Support service/system enhancements, define operating models, and establish procedures in relevant areas.
- Drive commercial and risk outcomes, deliver process redesign, operational streamlining and cost savings to improve revenue and/or reduce fraud risk; share best practices with regional offices.
- Participate in incident handling to minimise business impact, monitor helpdesk support, and execute testing for ad-hoc fixes/small initiatives.
- Support specific governance administration and assist with AMH RBW Executive Officer/Responsible Officer registration and related arrangements.
- Coach and develop team members through feedback and performance support; contribute to communities of practice, ensure strong project induction/orientation, and curate learning content to build transformation capability.
- Work irregular hours to support the business.
To be successful you will need:
- Education: University degree preferred
- Experience & domain knowledge:
- Retail banking/financial services experience preferred
- Strong understanding of frontline and operations processes, tools and systems to define end-to-end requirements.
- Experience delivering change across varied environments (e.g., branches, contact centres, operations, head office) is an advantage.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders; Able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment; capable people leader who motivates and develops others.
- Solid grasp of project lifecycle; ability to manage multiple projects/releases concurrently. Knowledge of change frameworks preferred.
- Requirements gathering and design experience across business/operations/technology preferred. Strong planning and change management skills (communications, training, migration, implementation). Familiarity with HSBC standards/processes and project tools is an advantage;
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, influencing and ability to challenge constructively.
- Pragmatic, data-led judgement; strong problem-solving and sound judgement to resolve issues.
- Strong written and spoken English; Cantonese fluency preferred
