Manager, FC Risk Analysis and Discovery Asia

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, FC Risk Analysis and Discovery Asia.
In this role you will need:
- FC Risk Assessment is a research and analytics team that supports the Bank’s lines of business and Compliance function with proactive insights on financial crime trends and typologies that present risks for the Bank.
- The team supports all of HSBC’s Asia markets and covers all financial crime disciplines, including money laundering, fraud and sanctions.
- We work with stakeholders from across the Bank to ensure the end-to-end flow from risk identification through to risk mitigation.
- The role holder will be responsible for producing high-quality research products by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Critical skills include the ability to integrate complex risk-related information from multiple sources, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to identify trends and pertinent information from within broad datasets.
- The role holder must be curious, proactive and innovative in their approach to research and analysis, and adept at using open- and closed-source intelligence to produce analysis and assessments with high business impact.
To be successful you will need:
- Degree holder (or equivalent) with demonstrated analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Very strong analytical, decision making, lateral thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify links between programmes of work
- Strong team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently
- Experience with data analytics (e.g., interpretation and transformation of data sets; delivering intelligence insights from raw data; producing effective and innovative data visualisations)
- Knowledge of and/or background in financial crime (including money laundering, sanctions evasion, and/or fraud). Experience with network analysis would be an asset
- A keen interest in business, banking and current affairs is desirable.
- Professional-level English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is desirable.
