We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a MANAGER, INSURANCE INSIGHTS.
In this role you will:
- Own the end-to-end management information (MI) and analytics suite for senior stakeholders: define KPI frameworks, data definitions, governance, refresh cadence, and automated distribution.
- Design and build scalable analytics products (dashboards, scorecards, self-serve datasets) using strong data modelling and visualization practices; ensure insights are actionable and decision-led.
- Lead deep-dive analyses and root-cause diagnostics on sales, revenue, customer behavior and channel performance; translate findings into clear recommendations and measurable actions.
- Develop forecasting and performance monitoring models in partnership with Distribution, Finance and Actuarial: driver-based forecasting, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and variance attribution (plan vs actual).
- Apply advanced analytics and AI to improve performance and efficiency: automate recurring reporting, deploy GenAI for insight generation
- Strengthen data quality and controls: implement reconciliation checks, lineage documentation, and exception monitoring to improve accuracy, auditability and stakeholder confidence.
- Build market and competitive intelligence analytics: integrate external data sources, track market movements, identify emerging risks/opportunities, and quantify business impact for strategy discussions.
- Coach and develop team members/new joiners on analytics standards, storytelling, tooling (Excel/Python/BI), and best practices for reproducible analysis and documentation.
To be successful you will:
- University degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Data/Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial, Engineering or similar).
- Prior experience in financial services, ideally insurance/wealth, with strong hands-on analytics delivery supporting commercial decisions across multiple distribution channels.
- Demonstrated capability in data analytics and modelling: KPI design, data wrangling, forecasting, segmentation, and performance measurement; experience turning ambiguous questions into structured analyses.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Python (e.g., pandas, numpy, stats/ML, web scraping libraries) and data visualization/BI tools (e.g., Qliksense/Power BI/Tableau/Looker); ability to build automated, maintainable reporting pipelines.
- Working knowledge of data management concepts (data modelling, data quality controls, metric definitions, versioning, documentation); SQL experience is a must.
- Experience applying AI/advanced analytics to business problems (automation, predictive modelling, GenAI-assisted insight generation) with appropriate risk and governance awareness.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills: able to present complex analysis clearly to senior management and influence decisions.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs at pace.
