We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Financial Management, Asia and Middle East.
In this role you will:
- GCIO GB/GF financial stakeholder management: Proactively manage relationships with GCIO customers and internal stakeholders, driving clear communication and effective resolution of disputes
- Cost Management: Lead financial control, planning and reporting for Asia and Middle East, including Financial Resource Plan (FRP) and target setting, target management, cost and charges analysis, forecasting and reporting, financial insights, operational processes, vendor billing, and related cost management activities
- Billing & Cost Recovery: Review FTE rate analysis and sign off charge rates, ensure monthly billing captures all Asia and Middle East costs in a timely manner and provide commentary, support audit requests
- Transaction Finance: Review Asia and Middle East Tech governed portfolio financial reporting, supply detailed benefit calculations, manage Asia and Middle East severance provisions when required
- Strategy & Planning: Define multi-year FRP profile (FTE and cost) for Asia and Middle East, financial planning and analysis, define Asia and Middle East owned elements of central programmes, provide input on Asia and Middle East impact of $400m GCIO governed portfolio, business case development, benefit target submissions, identify additional cost levers, Asia and Middle East Run the Bank target setting across Asia and Middle East service lines
- Transformation: Lead the ongoing development of Financial Management processes for Asia and Middle East; influenced and aligned with GCIO Central Financial Management standards and objectives.
To be successful you will need:
- Strong understanding of Technology operational management requirements for banks and knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
- Demonstrable experience in managing significant financial and resource plans, organizational transformation, and project portfolio management, with a track record of driving results in complex, matrixed organisations
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of cost management and accounting principles, as well as accounting and financial principles related to purchase orders, contracts, and operational expenses for hardware and software
- Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes, with a demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
- Deep financial and commercial awareness
- Maintains expert knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to influence future direction
- Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
