We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Digital Delivery, HK.

 

Role purpose

 

The Head of Digital Delivery, HK leads the end-to-end delivery of the HK digital change agenda—turning strategy into measurable outcomes for customers, colleagues, and the business. This role owns delivery governance, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, and benefit realisation across complex change portfolios.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Digital delivery leadership

 

  • Lead delivery for the HK Business digital portfolio (multiple workstreams/programmes), ensuring outcomes are aligned to business strategy and customer needs.
  • Establish and run a robust delivery operating model: prioritisation, sequencing, funding alignment, dependency management, and benefits tracking.
  • Drive consistent delivery discipline (plan, build, test, release, stabilise), balancing speed with control.

 

Governance, risk and controls

 

  • Ensure delivery meets HSBC governance expectations, including change governance, operational resilience, third-party risk (where applicable), and appropriate audit trails.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks/issues and drive mitigations with clear ownership, escalation, and resolution paths.
  • Partner closely with Risk/Compliance/Legal to embed controls “by design” and ensure adherence to regulatory expectations in Hong Kong.

 

Stakeholder and senior leadership management

 

  • Act as a senior interface with HK Business leadership and regional/global partners to align priorities, manage trade-offs, and secure decisions quickly.
  • Present clear delivery updates to governance forums: progress, risks, dependencies, financials, and benefits realisation.

 

People and capability

 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary delivery organisation (e.g., Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Business Analysts).
  • Build a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Strengthen delivery capability through standards, tooling, training, and talent planning.

 

Execution excellence & continuous improvement

 

  • Improve time-to-market, predictability, and quality via pragmatic agile/lean practices and data-driven delivery metrics.

Champion customer-centric delivery—ensuring solutions improve journeys and colleague experience, not just process steps.

 

Experience and skills

 

- Strong background in technology transformation, digital delivery, or enterprise programme management.

- Proven experience leading complex, multi-stream programmes in large organisations.

- Experience with governance, financial control, vendor management, and executive communication.

- Familiarity with agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and influencing skills

 

Requirements

 

  • Ideally an advanced degree holder/MBA with experience and proven track record to influence /manage functionally and work independently
  • Extensive business experience
