We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Control Manager and Lead for HK Business.

 

In this role you will need:

  • Lead senior management engagement and manage assigned risk/control portfolios across GCIO in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment 
  • Embed and run the risk and control management framework, including control monitoring, testing, and assurance 
  • Provide clear, evidence-based reporting that translates complex risk/control issues into actionable decision points for different audiences 
  • Apply expert judgement to assess end-to-end control environment health, identify gaps, and drive measurable improvements in control design and effectiveness 
  • Provide advice, support, and constructive challenges to strengthen risk ownership, control discipline, and risk culture 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team (including remote leadership), with effective coaching and performance management 
  • Support HKMA regulatory inspections and internal/external audits end-to-end, including evidence preparation, issue response, stakeholder management, and closure governance 
  • Identify trends and lessons learned from incidents and assessments, ensuring actions are implemented across GCIO and delivered on time

To be successful you will need:

  • 15+ years’ technology risk/audit/security/compliance experience in financial services, with direct line management of risk and control team. 
  • Strong IT control expertise (ITGCs plus cyber/technology controls)
  • Framework fluency (NIST CSF, COBIT, ITIL) and ability to map requirements across them and active certifications advantageous (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CCSP)
  • Proven problem-solving and pragmatic remediation delivery to improve control effectiveness and risk posture
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders and control owners.
