Division Head, Intelligence and Insights
Kowloon City, Kowloon, HK
Job description
GCB 4
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Division Head, Intelligence and Insights.
In this role you will:
- Lead and coach an agile team delivering growth-focused analytics, agentic AI use cases, experimentation and market insights.
- Convert business opportunities into measurable hypotheses and quantitative frameworks; apply appropriate analytical methods (e.g., causal inference, forecasting, propensity, optimisation) and communicate outcomes in clear commercial language.
- Design and scale agentic AI solutions that can plan and execute tasks end-to-end (with human-in-the-loop governance), such as next-best-action orchestration, lead prioritisation, campaign execution support, and relationship-manager (RM) copilots.
- Own the insight-to-action operating model, ensuring insights translate into deployable plays: decision rules, workflows, prompts, playbooks, and embedded interventions across digital channels, CRM and frontline routines.
- Embed best practices from leading organisations to improve decision-making, performance management and customer outcomes, including test-and-learn discipline and measurable value tracking.
- Run iterative market and customer research covering trends, emerging needs, competitive landscape and innovative propositions to inform strategy and new product development; synthesise qualitative and quantitative signals into a single narrative.
- Proposition & strategic initiative shaping: develop Business Banking strategic initiatives using customer, behavioural and market intelligence—define target segments, value propositions, benefits, pricing/packaging hypotheses and success metrics.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Products, Channels, Frontline, Risk and Technology to ensure insights convert into integrated go-to-market plans and effective commercialisation.
- Set the performance agenda for Intelligence & Insights: define OKRs, value cases, adoption metrics, and a prioritised roadmap of analytics and AI initiatives tied to growth outcomes.
- Empower customer facing staff’s sales & customer engagement through development and commercialisation of data-led / AI-engineered tools
- Establish, develop and maintain the infrastructure to keep track of commercial outcomes and effectiveness of sales and customer engagement initiatives
To be successful you will need:
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and external partners; confident facilitating decisions with data and clear trade-offs.
- Highly self-driven with strong interest in emerging technology and AI trends, and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a regulated environment.
- Proven track record using data and AI to drive growth—ideally blending experience from management consulting and/or large-scale analytics functions. Able to convert complex business challenges into analytical requirements and deliver practical, measurable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience building, leading and developing an analytics and insights team within a large organisation.
- Agentic AI fluency: experience (or strong working knowledge) of LLM-enabled workflows, tool-using agents, prompt and evaluation design, RAG patterns, human-in-the-loop controls, and operational monitoring (quality, drift, bias, safety).
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Looker, Power BI or Tableau preferred.
- Strong analytical capability to evaluate and recommend go-to-market strategy options, balancing performance, risk, cost and time-to-market.
- Commercial mindset and creativity to generate ideas that deliver impact and are executable.
- Understanding of Commercial/Business Banking customers, products and distribution is an advantage.
