We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Director, Business Advisory (Retail Banking).

 

In this role you will:

1) Business ownership & change leadership

  • Lead the business workstream for the core banking upgrade (deposits/current accounts, fees & interest, customer/account servicing, statements, mortgage, payments impacts, product parameters).
  • Define business outcomes, success measures plan
  • Run governance routines for the business side: decision logs, RAID, sign-offs, and stakeholder updates.

2) Requirements, scope & process design

  • Elicit and document business requirements (functional and non-functional) and translate them into delivery-ready artefacts (epics/features/user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Ensure the smooth handshake of new system with other  under development retail product platform (i.e. Credit Card)

3) Stakeholder management (Retail + Ops + Risk)

  • Coordinate across Product, Channels, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data, and Customer Experience.
  • Facilitate workshops and decision forums; resolve conflicts on scope, priorities, and customer/operational trade-offs.
  • Ensure alignment with customer journeys and servicing models—because a “small parameter change” can turn into 10,000 customer calls.

4) Data, migration & cutover readiness (business-facing)

  • Partner with data and migration teams to define business data mapping expectations (product codes, account types, customer attributes, balances, rates).
  • Define business validation approach for migration (reconciliation rules, sampling, exception handling, sign-off thresholds).
  • Support cutover planning: business readiness checklists, communications, operational contingencies etc.

5) Testing & quality

  • UAT strategy for the business: scenarios, coverage, traceability to requirements, entry/exit criteria.
  • Lead defect triage from a business impact perspective (severity, customer risk, workaround).
  • Support end-to-end testing across dependent systems (channels, payments, GL, fraud/AML, reporting).

6) Regulatory, risk & controls

  • Ensure business design meets regulatory and conduct obligations (customer communications, fees/interest transparency, servicing fairness).
  • Identify control impacts (reconciliations, audit trails, approvals, access, segregation of duties).
  • Support risk assessments, operational risk sign-offs, and audit evidence collection.

7) Adoption, comms & training

  • Produce change impacts, SOP updates, training requirements, and materials for frontline.
  • Plan business communications (internal and customer-facing where needed) with clear timing and ownership.
  • Track adoption and post-go-live performance; manage  backlog and continuous improvements.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • 15+ years in business consulting / IT Development on Core Banking
  • Proven delivery on core banking implementation/upgrade or major ledger/platform upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products and servicing operations (accounts, interest/fees, postings, statements, limits, dormancy, complaints, operational processes).
  • Experience leading UAT and business readiness for large-scale transformation with high operational risk.
  • With right to work in Macau is an advantage
  • Requirements engineering, process design, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong risk mindset: understands controls, auditability, and “what can go wrong” in production.
  • Analytical capability (data validation, reconciliations, understanding posting/GL impacts).
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
