Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Collateral Analyst.
The Collateral Management team delivers collateral calculations and exposure monitoring for Asia-based clients without an established credit line. The team owns end-to-end collateral monitoring, partnering closely with Business Unit Risk Managers, Front Office (including Sales), Operations and Documentation teams. It performs margin calculations in line with legal margin agreements and ensures exposures remain within agreed comfort levels, supporting client activity under ISDA CSA and GMRA documentation.Cascade MSS Operations strategies across HBAP hub-and-spoke locations.
In this role you will:
- Act as a subject matter specialist supporting OTC, REPO, FX Prime Brokerage (FXPB) and Equity Prime collateral services workstreams.
- Manage senior stakeholder engagement and collaborate with regional business partners to drive growth of Collateral Services across Asia.
- Lead and contribute to system enhancements and new business initiatives.
- Represent the function in, and help drive, internal and external forums.
- Shape the APAC Collateral Operations strategy with Global functional heads and regional partners; influence cross MSS stakeholders (Risk, Front Office, FX Prime) on process and operational impacts.
- Deliver the HBAP Collateral Optimization to reduce cost and maximize collateral efficiency, including “cheapest-to-deliver” analysis across CSA, GMRA and other agreements; enable use of non-cash collateral for exchange obligations and ensure interest flows align with Collateral Treasury and external third parties.
- Own and execute the HBAP location and offshoring strategy, including a refreshed Asia hub-and-spoke model and adherence to regional standards across offshore sites.
- Cascade MSS Operations strategies across HBAP hub-and-spoke locations.
To be successful you will need:
- A degree holder, preferably in a business or finance discipline
- General banking experience at a major bank including Collateral operations in particular FXPB margin and OTC margining
- General knowledge of treasury products and documentation standards
- Strong analytical, mathematics and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Good written and spoken English
- Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
