We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Chief Control Office, Operational Resilience Analyst
In this role you will:
- Accountable for supporting sustainable Operational Resilience for HSBC, Hong Kong (AMH), to make sure that practices executed across business and functions remains aligned with business and regulatory measures.
- Support the AMH businesses to map business processes and underlying operational assets related to Critical Operations based on the overarching framework for Operational Resilience, and the local operating model, aligned to the key standards and the requirements under HKMA SPM OR-2.
- Accountable for supporting the reporting of status of the embedment of framework and sustainable AMH's OR-2 compliance, ensuring that resilience reviews and artefact refresh are achieved in a timely manner by the business and functional teams who implement against the appropriate frameworks and standards.
- Support the AMH Operational Resilience team to represent Executive Management and Board members globally through supporting AMH businesses in the production of key artefacts relating to Operational Resilience Frameworks.
- Partner with Businesses, Technology and other key functions (Risk, Internal / External Audit) to ensure a holistic view of Operational Resilience are delivered to a quality standard on time. The Analyst will work with Operational Resilience Management and should have a high level of flexibility to consult with the accountable parties of Operational resilience business and functional stakeholders at all levels.
- Adopt an agile and flexible approach to work and an outstanding level of professionalism and conduct.
- Ensure that all deliverables to your stakeholders are concise, precise, impactful and actionable.
- The role will involve supporting the AMH Operational Resilience team and Hong Kong Chief Operating Officer with a number of high-profile and critical deliverables that will require the input and collaboration of a large set of senior business stakeholders across the wider bank’s organisation.
- Identify areas of improvement in embedding Operational Resilience frameworks and standards in AMH, by read across of triggers and working closely with business teams and functional areas to review and assess resilience.
- Support stakeholder engagement across a wide variety of AMH stakeholders with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration values in interactions with members of the Operational Resilience team.
- Support AMH Operational Resilience team to oversee Business lines and functional areas to ensure the successful embedding of operational resilience frameworks through governance.
To be successful you will need:
- Previous experience in policy and framework implementation support within a global organisation, working across cultures and within a complex matrix structure.
- Proven track record in project governance/reporting.
- Business and data analysis experience, including requirements gathering and design techniques.
- Experience of using analysis techniques in a change environment, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects.
- Overall financial services industry knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively to build relationships and influence key internal stakeholders and able to articulate status of activities and milestones in a concise and understandable manner.
- Strong relationship management, collaboration with experience of positive, challenging interactions with stakeholders.
- Assertive, proactive and proven ability to work independently to drive action and report status including governance papers in order to implement relevant strategies that enable safe growth of HSBC.
