We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a CLM Team Head.
In this role you will:
- Lead a team of case managers to provide the RM’s/CSE’s with quality control (QC), advice and guidance to satisfy the Bank’s KYC due diligence policies and procedures during complex client onboardings and ongoing reviews
- Ensuring quality is maintained by the team when performing QC tasks and ensuring a high standard when samples are subjected to Quality Assurance checks or audits by internal and external auditors.
- Problem solving and providing solutions to RM’s/CSE’s to ensure that account openings and ongoing reviews are completed in a timely manner to ensure a positive client experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements of the bank
- Ensuring the wellbeing of team members including coaching of individuals and dealing with any escalations.
- Assist with policy and procedural implementation and trainings where required.
- Assist with process improvements for CLM related projects or projects involving the CLM team
- Assists with other tasks as required
To be successful you will need:
- Strong working knowledge of AML, regulations and regulatory compliance within the banking and financial services industry
- Team management experience
- Solid problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise where required
- Strong teamwork initiative
- Good research and communication skills
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management
- Proficient writing skills for governance papers and reports
- Minimum of a B.A. degree or relevant 7-10 years of work experience
- Strong English fluency and written skills needed for report writing and comprehension of source of wealth narratives,
- Other additional language comprehension would be an added advantage due to the global nature of clients
