Brokerage Business Development Manager

Job description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Brokerage Business Development Manager.
In this role you will:
- Own growth of HSBC Life Brokerage Partnerships within the broker segment, delivering sustainable acquisition.
- Identify, prioritize and build a high-quality pipeline of broker opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end partnership execution: commercial proposition, business case, negotiation, contracting and onboarding.
- Develop and run joint go-to-market plans with brokers (sales enablement, training, case management) to drive measurable performance.
- Manage and deepen existing broker relationships through regular governance, performance reviews, issue resolution and optimization.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver compliant, scalable solutions and a strong broker/client experience.
- Ensure partnerships meet regulatory, conduct and operational risk requirements, with appropriate controls, documentation and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide market intelligence and translate insights into partnership strategy and prioritization.
- Track and report performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a key contact person of HSBC to external partners, building credibility and long-term strategic relationships.
To be successful you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid experience and understanding in life insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements, preferably in Broker channel business.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the insurance industry.
- Insurance related license is preferred, including completion of Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination Paper 1,2,3 and compliance with related Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and developing strategic partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
