Actuarial Analyst, HKRBC and Economic Capital

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Actuarial Analyst, HKRBC and Economic Capital.

In this role you will:

Support the Actuarial Director, HKRBC and Economic Capital in delivering accurate and timely HKRBC and Economic Capital actuarial production and financial analytics, with robust controls, clear movement analysis and audit-ready documentation to support reporting and decision-making.

• HKRBC production and submissions: Support day-to-day delivery of HKRBC calculations, analysis, and financial disclosures.
• Results analysis and movement commentary: Prepare analysis on key movements and draft commentary for management reporting – Prepare sensitivities and stress scenario impacts to support management reporting and decisions.
• Economic Capital delivery: Produce Economic Capital reporting for assigned scope.
• Controls and audit readiness: Execute controls across data, assumptions, model changes and outputs – maintain audit-ready documentation and support timely closure of findings.
• Stakeholder coordination: Work with key stakeholders to align inputs, clarify assumptions, and support consistent delivery across reporting cycles.
• Policy documentation: Help maintain local documentation for actuarial capital policy implementation.
• Project and ad-hoc support: Provide analysis and support for capital-related projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.

To be successful you will need:

• Relevant experience in actuarial capital, or financial reporting roles. Candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior Actuarial Analyst, HKRBC and Economic Capital, subject to relevant capability and experience.
• Actuarial student (part-qualified) or near-qualified, with a clear exam progression plan towards Fellowship (e.g., SOA or other recognized actuarial body).
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and confidence working with complex models and large datasets.
• Clear communicator, able to summarize technical results and key movements in a structured way, and support preparation of commentary for non-technical stakeholders.
• Well-organized and delivery-minded, able to manage own tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment.
