  • Act as the first escalation point for business partners, maintaining strong relationships and identifying service improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure client packs/valuations are delivered on time and to quality standards, with additional focus on priority/strategic clients.
  • Strengthen operational controls by establishing checkpoints, reviewing exceptions/errors, implementing procedural changes, and completing risk assessments/BCP reviews.
  • Maintain HSBC control standards by implementing audit/regulatory actions promptly, ensuring procedures are followed, resolving complex queries, and supporting AVP/senior admin duties (work allocation strategies, peer checking, training, and succession/cross-training).

To be successful, you will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a recognised accounting/finance qualification; additional industry certifications preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant Funds Administration/Fund Accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end Fund Accounting model, including NAV calculation and GAV–NAV activities.
  • Complete understanding of the Trade Life Cycle and how it impacts fund operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets and a broad range of financial instruments, including derivatives.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and expert-level accounting knowledge, including NAV reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to monitor, manage, and deliver against operational goals and deadlines with effective time management and multitasking.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify issues and drive accurate outcomes.
  • Ability to update, manage, and analyse MI (Management Information) to support performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build effective cross-department/jurisdiction relationships; experience in A&V/IFS/GTFS and strong MS Office skills are advantageous, with behaviours aligned to HSBC values.
