We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director - Data and Analytics
In this role, you will:
- Act as a subject matter expert and consultant on a functional area and conceptualize analytical solutions for business problems across multiple businesses and regions.
- Lead and mentor a team to provide analytical and strategic solutions with clear articulation of recommendations.
- Partner effectively with the business to drive data driven decisions and generate value.
- Own delivery of high-quality analytical solutions for business stakeholders across one or more regions.
- Interact with senior management and communicate and synthesize information in a simple form.
- Continually reassess operational risks and demonstrate adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements by following procedures, keeping appropriate records, and engaging compliance early on new initiatives.
To be successful you will:
- 7 to 10 years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data, with the ability to convert a business problem into an analytical problem.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed university in statistics, economics, or another quantitative field.
- Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude, with knowledge of financial services and banking operations preferred.
- Good foundation in programming and analytics tools such as R programming language, Python programming language, Statistical Analysis System, Structured Query Language, and cloud technologies or equivalent platforms.
- Strong data handling skills with the ability to visualise datasets and tell a clear story through data, including experience with Looker, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Strong problem solving capability, strong written and verbal communication skills, and effective stakeholder management, with the ability to work effectively in teams across different geographies.
- Experience working on Pegasystems, with hands-on experience in the Pegasystems Customer Decision Hub decision framework, with Next Best Action Designer preferred.
