We have an opportunity for a commercially focused Marketing Manager (VP) to drive our marketing initiatives within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) in Indonesia. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, enhancing client engagement, and solidifying the bank’s presence among our target audience and segments.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

You will be working with a sophisticated, highly engaged corporate customer segment in a generalist B2B marketing role, covering digital, events, Omni Channel, partnerships and sponsorships.

 

The role holder will act as the interconnect between global campaigns, creative development, platforms and systems, to ensure local campaigns and events are delivering a best-in-class performance and are supporting global objectives. They will be the main points of contact for creative / media / digital/ event agencies – and will lead the roll out of any platform enhancement / connectivity programmes for Indonesia as well as across other scale and international markets.

 

You will work directly with the local Business to activate commercially-driven campaigns or events which could also be led by either global Business Marketing / Client Sector teams, or locally with the product / coverage teams, including discussing campaign targets and intended outcomes with the stakeholders.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

 

1. Campaigns, events, digital marketing

 

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy for key segments of growth including global corporate, mid-market, multinational corporates and institutions, aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Develop and implement local marketing plan, customer-centric segment and transaction banking campaigns to achieve CIB business goals and objectives, optimising return on investment.
  • Maintain relationships with local agency partners to negotiate strong agreements and high quality of service
  • Serve as point of contact for the global content and campaigns teams to identify potential content pieces which would supplement a global content runway.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic events, including planning, creative and content development, stakeholder alignment, vendor management, logistics, and post-event analysis.
  • Drive PWS local strategies and runways to ensure content is up to date and driving outcomes
  • Interlock developments in the Global MarTech platforms (marketing automation, email, analytics etc)

 

 

2. Measurement & Insights

 

  • Marketing budget management, ensuring cost efficiency and maximising return on investment
  • Tracking and analysing performance metrics for all activity, utilising data insights to continuously refine marketing strategies.

 

 

3. Leadership & Teamwork 

 

  • Influence and work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive marketing efforts with the client/customer at the heart of decisions
  • Collaborate with the Group Brand team to ensure all campaigns and events reinforce the global brand platform and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Promote Agile Principles and foster a collaborative working environment that reflects HSBC’s values
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and strategic partners to ensure high-quality delivery and innovation

 

 

4. Operational Effectiveness & Control

 

  • Adhere to marketing financial process, procedures and manage within the allocated campaign budget.
  • Adhere to the marketing process in terms of approval and the use of frameworks, templates and applications.
  • Support the measurement of all campaign activities and reported in post implementation in line with the agreed process and governance framework.
  • Adhere to the compliance approval process for all campaign activities to ensure all campaigns delivered are legal and compliant with the relevant code of practice

 

 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Solid B2B marketing experience (5+ years), preferably in commercial marketing for banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge or an understanding of transaction banking product and services will be a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate client and market insights into effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Self-starter and with the ability to collaborate effectively both locally and across borders in a complex global, matrixed organisation.
  • The ability to build and manage strong stakeholder relationships, through excellent communication skills, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to innovate and undertake complex problem solving.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
