We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of SVP Payment Service Lead

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Providing strategic guidance and direction for driving a culture of service excellence across Payment Service organization that aligns with strategic goals and improves customer journeys. Effectively manage stakeholder relationships with the Business and within Operations, eliminating roadblocks and aligning actions for maintaining a high operational standard across all processes, ultimately delivering outstanding service quality for HBID internal and external clients.
  • Empower GPS Operation organization to excel and drive the achievement of the business service objectives by fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and flexible culture that empowers and develops them, encourages collaboration, and brings together diverse ideas and perspectives to help shape the future of HSBC
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to managers responsible for driving Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across various teams. Shape and promote a culture of innovation that drives sustainable change in alignment with the bank's value streams to have exceptional customer journeys, boosts operational efficiency, risk mitigation and ultimately meeting saves targets. Ensure the alignment of multiple initiatives with strategic objectives and regulatory.
  • Manage GPS Operation team resources effectively, ensuring that costs are controlled, and financial performance targets are met.
  • Effective management of risk and control environment including risk strategy, measures (KRIs, KCIs), escalation of key issues/decisions. Driving the right behavior in team, across wider organization, working with other lines of defense and demonstrating Risk Awareness and Future Thinking.

 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • At minimum 10 years of experience in Financial Industry in Payment Operations for both Domestic and Cross-border payments.
  • Good knowledge in Payment Product
  • Good analytical skills
  • Detailed oriented and passionate about numbers
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Pro-active, independent, and able to navigate complexity
  • Develop a strong risk culture within a team to have sustainable controls on risks
  • Handle issues and incident in timely manner and responsible to escalation to stake holder in timely manner
  • Familiar with local regulatory and all relevant Business and Functional Manuals, maximize operational efficiency, productivity, accuracy and control, whilst at the same time to provide consistently high standard of internal and external customer service to support the business on achieving the target.
