Ready to support outstanding service for HSBC’s banking and wealth clients?
Why HSBC
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world. Guided by our purpose of opening a world of opportunity, our ambition is to become the world’s most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
The Opportunity
The Wealth Relationship Officer is a securities-licensed role supporting Wealth Relationship Managers (WRMs) and registered securities representatives across banking and wealth servicing activities. You’ll help create outstanding client experience by acting as a key point of contact for clients and ensuring timely follow-through on requests and documentation. This role increases WRM client-facing capacity by taking on process and administrative activity while keeping service quality high. You’ll also enter trade orders and open new client accounts with the direction of the registered representative. Success means clients can reach the right support quickly, inquiries are resolved efficiently and WRMs have more time to focus on acquisition, cross sales, retention and portfolio growth. The role does not provide securities recommendations to clients.
What you'll be doing
- Provide high-quality sales support to an individual or team of Wealth Relationship Managers
- Reduce process and administrative workload for WRMs to increase time available for client meetings and higher value activity
- Support WRMs across the banking portions of their assigned client portfolios
- Manage day-to-day client contact and servicing including answering client calls in the WRM’s absence and resolving transactional inquiries
- Facilitate smooth hand-offs to the right channels where appropriate to meet client needs
- Prepare and complete sales documents plus manage data input and report generation to support licensed sales activity
- Liaise with internal support functions to progress client purchase process requirements through to completion
- Enter client trade orders and open new client accounts with the direction of a registered securities representative
What we're looking for
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensing required
- SIE, Life and Health insurance licenses or may be willing to sponsor
- Bring experience with financial services or banking
- Apply knowledge of brokerage products and services plus the operations and regulations that support their delivery
- Use knowledge of Anti Money Laundering and relevant US regulatory governance in day-to-day activities
- Demonstrate experience with relationship management systems such as CRM and RM platforms
- Apply understanding of core products including the Premier proposition and retail and wealth product processes
- Follow local and Group compliance regulations and appropriate operational procedures
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively support our target client base
Building time for clients
If you’re looking for a role where your work directly improves how clients experience banking and wealth support, this is a chance to make a visible difference. You’ll help keep service sharp and responsive while enabling Wealth Relationship Managers to spend more time with clients on the conversations that matter most. You’ll work closely with registered representatives and internal partners to keep client requests moving and documentation accurate. If this scope matches your licensing and experiences, we’d welcome your application.
As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package including a robust Wellness Hub, all in a welcoming and inclusive work environment. You will be empowered to drive HSBC’s engagement with the communities we serve through an industry-leading volunteerism policy, a generous matching gift program, and a comprehensive program of immersive Sustainability and Climate Change Initiatives. You’ll want to join our Employee Resource Groups as they play a central part in life at HSBC, including the development of our employees and networking inside and outside of HSBC. We value difference. We succeed together. We take responsibility. We get it done. And we want you to help us build the bank of the future!
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, color, race, national origin, ethnicity, disability or medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran service, religion, creed, sex, gender, pregnancy, childbirth, caregiver status, marital status, citizenship or immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression or any other trait protected by applicable law.
