Job title: Senior Manager - Product Owner
There is a need to define and execute a strategy for the non-managed channels like Connect, API, SWIFT and Network Providers which doesn’t exist currently
In this role, you will:
- Developing and executing product strategies that align with HSBC - GPS's vision and market opportunities
- Conducting in-depth market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
- Staying up to date with the latest online fraud trends, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Prioritizing product features and capabilities based on their value, impact, and strategic importance.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the CIB Fraud Risk, Financial Crime, and Governance Teams
- Partners with Delivery teams across CIB Risk and Digital to ensure effective delivery of HSCBC Net
- Defines framework and executes anomaly detection for SWIFT payments
- Partners with CIB risk defining and execute strategy for non-managed channels like Connect and API, including network providers
- Help support and provide oversight and challenge the Business’ completion of relevant fraud and
- financial crime risk assessment activity both from an enterprise wide, product and process perspective
- Help define and shape an efficient, robust, and consistent process for recoveries
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment on product progress, milestones, and challenges.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to connect with stakeholders across geographies.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English is expected.
- Ability to advise stakeholders regarding process improvement initiatives. Ability to present complex solutions in clear and concise language.
To be successful you will:
- 12+ years of work experience in Transaction banking, preferably in Payment’s product.
- Proven experience in Project management, requirement analysis, business case development, risk management, marketing support.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Proven ability to run effective workshops and trainings for client business users.
- Strong aptitude with Data Analysis and Interpretation skills - the ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, using multiple analysis techniques, reconciling variances and recommend proposals to senior and key stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of problems and generate effective solutions. Alongside this, adaptability is key, as Strategic Business Change s must be able to pivot quickly in response to new information or changing circumstances, ensuring that the change process remains on track despite obstacles.

- Must be proactive, able to comprehend, evaluate, and offer clear, timely and reliable analysis and recommendations to directors and above, and communicate this effectively; an ability to develop a global network, build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively at all levels is required for success. Capability to balance shifting priorities over multiple work-strands and working under tight time pressure is important. A strong commercial acumen and product management experience including product commercialization and governance, or risk is imperative.
